Day 2 and 3 of Kindergarten!

WOW!! On day 2 look at those amazing focused learners!!

What would kindergarten be without learning games!!!
This one is ABC Slap! HA HA What a great name for a kindergarten game!
The goal is to find the letter that I say or matching sound and "slap" it before the other person. It is always fun to play girls against boys!

There are times when we need to refocus, get some energy out... we call these Brain Breaks!
Here they are dancing away!

What would kinder be without a little paint!!! In case you could not tell...they are painting self portraits. They will be up in the class to see next week!

They had fun playing a math game.  They had to find dinosaurs or giant buttons or a combination and put the correct amount on their number as fast as they could and make sure it is correct!

Today we read Clark the Shark and talked about classroom rules! This is also a great book to work on rhyming. Our Story Map chart will be used weekly with different stories as we learn to answer in complete sentences to fill in our chart!

1st Day of Kindergarten!!!!!

What an amazing first day!!!
The kiddos did an amazing job listening and staying focused during the all school dedication!

After the dedication we learned how to unpack and then it was already snack time! YUM!

After snack, we learned where are seat at circle time was and of course posed for a picture!!
We read the book "The Kissing Hand"

We even had a little time to play while other kids where doing their craft!

Finally, we learned how to get our pencil boxes, what is inside of them, and how to be prepared at our seat! Then we practiced off of our new procedures with coloring a picture of our favorite thing from the day!
They are up in the class and very cute!

Everyone did an amazing job and I can't wait for tomorrow!
Have a wonderful evening and get plenty of rest!!!
Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.
