What a fun afternoon! This week we have been reading The Recess Queen. So for science we became engineers!! We broke up into groups and planned how to make a slide with the materials in the box. Then after drawing their plan, they began to build. It was wonderful to see them collaborate and work together as a team. They could only build one slide as a team! I heard some beautiful words like "Wow that's a great idea" from one kid to another! Nothing like that to melt a teacher's heart! All of their slides could roll a marble but none were strong enough to slide a Care bear!!! We shall try again!
